About us
My story
My name is Elisabeth, and I am a French designer trained at Central St Martins and the École Supérieure of Applied Arts in Paris. I create unique, handmade jewellery with real, local flowers that I pick during my walks, and then press and dye at my studio in London. In a world where we need greenery more than ever, my pieces are like miniature landscapes with their very own unique stories. They celebrate urban nature and reconnect us with the flowers and plants growing all around us. I also offer the Disco and the Cute Robots collections, which are all about sparkles, joy and playfulness.
How it's made
I love walking around my neighbourhood to pick up my wildflowers. It's like a treasure hunt! They grow literally everywhere: local parks, friends' gardens, any wild patch, or even in between pavement cracks! Some colours are harder to find or fade over time so I hand-dye them. Some varieties don't grow where I live so I find them at local florists or on the internet.
Pressing my flowers
Pressing the flowers is a very meditative and rewarding process. I keep them for at least a couple of weeks in-between the pages of books to make sure that they are completely dry and flat. Once the flowers are ready, I get my favourite tweezers out and I start selecting and mixing them with mini crystals and beads to create my unique designs. I love to take time to create a range of colourful and harmonious compositions that will suit a variety of tastes and customers. That's definitely my favourite part of the whole process!
The resin process
I embed the flowers in layers of high-grade resin, which I cure with my UV lamp. The resin is non-toxic and scratch-free, and keeps the flowers and the jewellery looking great forever!
My studio
I create my jewellery in my workshop in East London. I surround myself with a beautiful collection of inspiring images, objects and books that I deeply cherish. I constantly update my inspiration walls with new images which I find in magazines, at exhibitions, in books or on the internet. I've also built up a huge collection of dried flowers. I am always ready for any new ideas that pop into my mind or any new request for bespoke orders. Ask for any flower, and I will probably have it somewhere!
